Artist Council: Artists Inspiring Artists
In a year that turned our world upside down, we looked to the arts for healing, for joy, and for inspiration. The 7th annual Artist Council exhibition, Inspired, reflects the impacts of a tumultuous year, which caused artists to see the world differently and to express their creativity in a variety of inspiring ways. The wide range of mediums, images, and themes presented by the Artist Council are truly the result of the dedication artists have given to their art practice while experiencing the challenges of 2020.
In gallery three, the artists of the Huntington Harbor Art Association “Needles and Friends” group are presenting a variety of mixed media pieces including magnificent quilts, cozy crochet throws, caps for cancer survivors, decorative purses, and a host of fine craft items. We are delighted to present the works of this 51 year old organization, founding patrons of HBAC, and members of the Artist Council.
The exhibition includes over 230 works of art by 91 artists, all of whom found inspiration that fueled their creativity.
