Chris is a Denver-born creative whose affinity for lighting has shaped his career and ignited his passion for art. He has been an accomplished production electrician/gaffer in L.A. for the past 15 years.
Chris has worked on many large events, festivals, award shows, and television. If it has lighting, Chris has done it.
Chris, aka Jitterbug, has been crafting his “Radiating Rubbish Chandeliers” for the Burning Man theme camp “The Filament” since 2016. He got the bug for making “Chandies” out of rubbish when his partner gave him the ultimatum to toss the bin of scratched sunglasses he had accrued or do something with them. This is the origin story of his sunglasses chandelier called “Peepers.” His sunny disposition and love of sustainability and recycling have fostered his love for making his lamps.
With a combo of garbage from the street and hidden thrift finds from across the country, Chris has found a way to light our rooms and our souls!
