Documentary photographer Marc Riboud observed, “Photography cannot change the world, but it can show the world, especially when it changes.” Since the beginning of 2020, the world has undergone rapid change, requiring individuals and communities to adapt to dynamic surroundings.  In response, many artists and photographers felt compelled to document the evolution from their own perspectives. Lockdowns and social distancing in the early days were followed by powerful social justice movements that erupted across the country. Even with the devastating tragedies that individuals have endured, hope for a better tomorrow persists. And now the question remains, what's next?  Photographers were invited to capture and share the collective changes and seismic shifts, small and large, over the last two years in their individual landscapes.
