Art at HBAC Summer Camp
​Your art camper will learn how to think creatively and to develop artistic terminology and skills in a fun and challenging environment. Campers aged 6-12 will be able to select from six exciting weekly themes. Campers spend the week creating works of art and exploring a variety of media based on their camp theme in a dedicated art studio. Our camp is staffed by professional contemporary artists who will make art camp come alive! A health form for each child must be completed by parents/guardians and turned in on the first day of the camp session. Included in the camp enrollment fee: one camp tee shirt per child and all art materials. Camp size is limited to 15 children per week, subject to change.

Art at HBAC: Land of Toys 
Tap into the magic of imagination, invention, and product design while making your own custom toys! Students will learn how to ideate, sketch, and build hard and soft toys while learning about materials, important design tenets, and the true value of play.

Art at HBAC: Bon Appétit 
Immerse young artists in a world of culinary creativity and discovery. This unique class will consist of both visual arts and edible creations. Campers will learn about artists who use food as inspiration and create paintings that look good enough to eat. Each class will also prepare a no-bake recipe to take home.

Art at HBAC: Drawn to Life  
Learn how to bring your sketchbook to life through the art of animation. Students will dig into drawing fundamentals, concept art, and illustration. Utilizing animation techniques including stop-motion, hand-drawn cells, and paper cutouts, campers will develop the skills to create their own moving images.

Art at HBAC: Page Masters 
Are you an avid reader or aspiring story teller? Create your first illustrated novel in this workshop for creative storytelling. Campers will create a handmade book which they will fill with illustrations and narratives of their own imagining under the guidance of our experienced instructors.

It’s time to get funky! Learn about the ways that music can provide a wealth of artistic inspiration while creating jazzy artworks and homemade instruments. Dive into rhythm and sound, imagine the melody of color, and learn about how musical culture has inspired artists for centuries.

Art at HBAC: Surrealism: The Art of Dreams 
Dreams have been a huge source of inspiration to some of the most famous artists and even helped to generate the surrealist movement. Surrealist artworks feature curious juxtapositions, elements of surprise, and unique and personal symbolism. Step into a dreamscape and create the unexpected in this week of fantasy and imagination.
