The Huntington Beach Art Center is a public/private partnership between the City of Huntington Beach and the Huntington Beach Art Center Foundation, a private non-profit corporation. Volunteers can be a part of the excitement by assisting our education and gallery programs.
Education Programming
The Huntington Beach Art Center is committed to bringing the best contemporary art instructors and techniques to the community. Volunteers can assist with one or all of the following programs: Partners in Art: The goal of the Partners in Art program is to give local elementary school students the opportunity to view a contemporary art exhibit and participate in practical workshops based on what they have seen. Volunteers for this program will assist with gallery tours and art workshops. Family Arts Day: Family Arts Day is an annual one day event, held in October, that provides free instructional workshops for the whole family. Volunteers for this event assist our professional artist/instructors conduct the workshops. |
Gallery Programming
The Huntington Beach Art Center’s galleries present the work of exceptional contemporary artists and community interests. Volunteers helping with the gallery program may act as gallery sitters, greeting patrons, supplying information about the current exhibition and general information about the Center. Volunteers will assist in the preparation of mailing materials and provide other general support to gallery operations.
